Livening Up

Brighton based Amplicon LiveLine provides hardware, software and instrumentation for measuring, monitoring and controlling all types of processing functions and is a key partner supplier for OEMs and manufacturersthroughout the world.

Their location was a typical industrial unit with dark and dowdy offices urgently in need of upgrading to a bright and airy workspace. On the recommendation of Baker Tilly, a previous Client, Woodman was included in a shortlist of potential suppliers to present ideas to improve the environment to the Amplicon board.

The Challenge

To provide a complete solution to refurbish the first floor to include a new ceiling, lighting and air conditioning, whilst occupied within a 14 day limited timescale and with a very tight budget. Obtain planning permission for new windows into existing structure which included structural calculations and alterations for new window installation.

The Solution

Woodman carried out a requirement survey and prepared a detailed programme of works that took place out of hours and at weekends, ensuring Amplicon continued business during the day with absolutely no disturbance to staff or operations. They prepared the agreed design, carried out structural calculations etc obtained planning permission for the windows and completed the whole project within two weeks according with the agreed programme.

The Conclusion

Compared to what they had to put up with before, all the Amplicon staff agreed that the Woodman transformation is excellent. Additionally, the new environment introduced greater efficiency as it was more comfortable, brighter and had new air-conditioning.
